Frame Mouldings
Set the scene with the frame moulding – choosing the right style will show off the art, especially when you consider your own interior décor as well.
Our experienced design team has sourced an extensive collection of high quality, solid-wood mouldings to suit all art styles. They are sourced with care to ensure the timber is of a recognised origin and we often deal directly with the mill, to further ensure quality and traceability back to the forest source.
Picture Mounts
The picture mount draws the eye in to the artwork. The functional role of the mount is to create a gap between the artwork and the glazing which helps prevent damage from condensation or prints sticking to the glazing. We only use acid-free mount-board, which eliminates the risk of burn – staining of the print due to contaminants leeching from the board. Our mounts are also white-core, which means the cut bevel-edge nearest the print remains crisp and white; lesser quality boards quickly discolour.
Glazing
The glazing plays a vital role in protecting your artwork from scratches, dirt and dust. For safety reasons, we use Perspex in all our products, which is incredibly high quality and ensures immaculate clarity and colour accuracy.
Backing Board
To ensure your artwork retains its looks over time, it is bonded to an acid-free backing board. This prevents the print from wrinkling and from slumping within the frame. To finish off, we add a rigid backing board, which is secured and then all joints taped. This prevents the ingress of dust and any troublesome insects, as well as adding rigidity to the frame so it’s ready for hanging, and admiring.

Quality Production
Our team of framers cut, join and assemble every frame by hand – each one is a labour of love. We value quality above all else so the whole process is overseen by our Master Framer who ensures standards are maintained every step of the way. To help you get your work of art up on the wall as quickly as possible, each frame comes with hanging fittings.
Art prints are offered on a choice of paper types
Satin paper
The satin paper is a 250gsm premium lustre photo paper with an inkjet receptive coating that reproduces photographic images with clear detail and rich colours.
Art paper
The heavyweight 230gsm matte fine art paper has a flawless ultra smooth finish with an inkjet receptive coating perfect for giclée-printed high quality fine art reproductions.
Framed and mounted prints
Our framed prints are mounted using acid-free, 1300 microns smooth white mount board with a white core and then framed and finished by hand in the UK using responsibly-sourced, solid wood mouldings. We use clear acrylic glazing for safety and longevity. The finished products have taped backs and are ready to hang.
Frame details can be viewed by clicking on the "View frame detail" information button under the frame selector. Clicking on the button opens a panel showing a close-up of the moulding, a section view of the moulding and a brief description of what types of image the moulding is best used with.
Canvas prints are offered in the following formats
Rolled canvas
A matte bright white, specially developed, 270gsm inkjet canvas that gives a subtle textured finish and is strong, yet easy to stretch and fold without cracking. Printed in the UK supplied and rolled with a 65mm border ready for you to stretch and frame.
Stretched canvas
The printed canvas is hand-stretched over a concealed pine frame approximately 45mm deep, we add a 3mm board behind the canvas to maintain tautness and the finished product is ready to hang.
Print dimensions
National Trust Prints uses the latest digital technology. However, because the original images available in this collection come in all shapes and sizes, and will never be cropped or distorted, different images will have different borders. When you order a product, the product choice screen will give you an approximate portrayal of how the image will fit on different print sizes.
