The Apprentice House and garden in May which are part of the Quarry Bank Mill and Styal Estate, Wilmslow, Cheshire. Pauper children lived in the Apprentice House and worked in the cotton mill in the late eighteenth century and were able to grow their own vegetables in the garden, now recreated and gardened organically.
