Description
The chimneypiece in the Great Hall at Ham House, Richmond-upon-Thames. The ormolu mounts and the plaster figures of Mars and Minerva, c.1640, have been attributed to Francesco Fanelli (active c.1609-c.1665); however family tradition asserts that the sculptures are of William Murray, 1st Earl of Dysart and his wife, Katherine Bruce.
