Description
Detail of a tomb inscription from the workmen's village at Deir El-Medina, Egypt, c.1300-1000 BC. It shows two chisel-bearers making an offering to the Falcon god Khons-Neferhotep and to Thoth scribe of the gods. It is part of William Bankes's collection in the Egyptian Room at Kingston Lacy, Dorset.
