Description
Looking along the casemates at Reigate Fort, Surrey. Built in 1898, the fort was one of thirteen mobilisation centres established to protect London from invasion. The site's main function was as a store for the guns, small-arms ammunition and tools needed by troops. The casemates could be used as storage or for accommodation of troops.
