Three-quarter length, wearing a richly-worked black tunic trimmed in red with gold braid, with white lace-trimmed ruff and cuffs. Right hand on hip holding a baton or telescope, left hand resting on sword hilt. Bare-headed, trimmed beard and moustache. Cockaded hat on table at right. Scene of the fleet in action at top left. Identified in 1955 inventory as Admiral Sir Walter Raleigh. CMS_PCF_355483
