Description
Plasterwork fireplace and column in the Marble Hall at Kedleston Hall, Derbyshire. The Marble Hall was designed by Robert Adam in the 1760s and inspired by Roman architecture. The Corinthian columns are made of veined alabaster from Nottinghamshire quarries.
