Description
This image of Neville Chamberlain (the Prime Minister), fishing, was taken by Margaret Hardman two weeks before the Second World War was declared. It was taken whilst Margaret and her husband, the photographer, Edward Chambré Hardman were on holiday in Scotland. They were told by a member of staff in the hotel they were staying at that Chamberlain was fishing in the area. Hardman was feeling unwell so Margaret went on her own and took this image along with a series of others in the collection. another in the collection.
