Description
Detail of the enriched doorcase in the Gothick Corridor at Hanbury Hall, Worcestershire, with pierced urns set in broken segmental pediments. The Gothick patterned wallpaper of the 1830s was discovered under several layers and copied. The seven colours used may have been intended to complement the tones of Thornhill's murals.
