Description

Close view of part of the model of HMS Romulus, built by Adams at Buckler's Hard in December 1777. HMS Romulus had 44 guns but was captured off Chesapeake Bay by the French in 1781, was renamed Le Resolution around 1784 and ended its days in 1796 off Meritius. The model is in the Turquoise Hall at Snowshill Manor.
